Setting Up Payouts
To receive your share of subscription revenue, you need to connect a Stripe account. This is a one-time setup that enables automatic payouts whenever your subscribers are charged.
You can publish and start accepting subscribers without setting up payouts. Complete Stripe payout setup when you are ready to receive your earnings.
How Payouts Work
When a subscriber pays for your coach:
- Stripe processes the payment from the subscriber
- Fees are deducted (GuidanceAI platform fee + Stripe processing fee)
- Your share transfers automatically to your connected Stripe account
You do not need to invoice anyone or manually request payments -- everything happens automatically.
Setting Up Stripe Connect
Step 1: Start the Connection
- Click the Build tab in the sidebar
- Go to Earn
- In the Stripe Connect card, click Connect with Stripe
Step 2: Complete Verification
Stripe will ask you to verify your identity. This is a standard requirement for receiving payments and typically includes:
- Your legal name and date of birth
- Your address
- Bank account details for payouts
- Identity verification (photo ID)
This process is handled entirely by Stripe and usually takes just a few minutes.
Step 3: Start Receiving Payouts
Once verification is complete, you will see a green "Payouts Active" status in the Earn section of the Build view. From this point:
- Your share of each subscription payment transfers automatically
- You can view your earnings in the Stripe Dashboard
- You can manage your payout schedule and bank details
Accessing Your Stripe Dashboard
After setup, click Open Stripe Dashboard in the Earn tab to:
- View your earnings and payout history
- Update your bank account details
- Change your payout schedule (daily, weekly, or monthly)
- Download financial reports
Understanding the Revenue Split
Your earnings are simple: your coach price minus a flat £150 platform fee per paid invoice.

The platform fee is a flat £150 per paid invoice, regardless of your price. The minimum coach price is £150/month, at which point you break even — list higher to earn more per subscriber. Stripe processing fees are absorbed by the platform, so you don't see them deducted from your share.
Incomplete Setup
If you started the Stripe connection but did not finish verification:
- Click the Build tab in the sidebar, then go to Earn
- You will see a warning that setup is incomplete
- Click Continue Setup to return to Stripe and complete verification
Your payouts will not activate until verification is complete.
Payouts Paused
Sometimes Stripe pauses transfers to your account after onboarding is complete. This usually means Stripe needs more information from you — for example, additional identity documents, updated bank details, or a response to a compliance review.
If this happens, the Earn tab shows an amber "Payouts paused" banner instead of the green "Payouts Active" status. While paused, your subscribers' payments are still collected, but your share is held on the platform until transfers resume.
To resolve:
- Click Open Stripe Dashboard in the Earn tab
- Look for any outstanding requirements or notifications from Stripe
- Provide the requested information directly to Stripe
- Once Stripe re-enables transfers, the banner returns to green automatically — usually within minutes of dashboard refresh
If you have outstanding payments that were collected while transfers were paused, contact support and we will reconcile them once your account is active again.
Troubleshooting
Verification Failed
If Stripe could not verify your identity:
- Check that your details match your ID exactly
- Ensure your photo ID is clear and not expired
- Contact Stripe support for specific verification issues
Payouts Not Arriving
If payouts are active but you are not receiving funds:
- Open your Stripe Dashboard
- Check if there are any holds or issues flagged
- Verify your bank account details are correct
- Check your payout schedule (daily payouts may take 2-3 business days)
Need to Change Bank Details
You can update your bank account at any time through the Stripe Dashboard. Click Open Stripe Dashboard in the Earn tab, then navigate to Settings > Payouts.
