Becoming an Expert

The Expert Program lets you create and publish your own digital coach on the GuidanceAI marketplace, and earn recurring revenue from subscribers.

Pricing​

The Expert Program costs £100/month, with a 90-day free trial so you can build and test your coach before paying.

How to Get Started​

The simplest way to become an Expert is through our guided signup flow:

Step 1: Choose Your Path​

Visit the Welcome page and click I'm an Expert. This takes you to the simplified expert signup flow.

Step 2: Enter Your Website (Optional)​

If you have a website that describes your expertise:

  1. Enter your website URL
  2. We'll analyse your site to suggest your name, expertise areas, and target audience
  3. Review and adjust the suggestions at each step

If you don't have a website, you can skip this step and enter everything manually.

Step 3: Complete the Quick Setup​

Walk through 6 simple steps:

  1. Name -- choose how your coach introduces itself
  2. Category -- select your primary expertise area
  3. Expertise -- list your specific skills and knowledge areas
  4. Audience -- describe who your coach helps
  5. Pricing -- set your monthly subscription price (minimum £155)
  6. Review -- preview your coach before continuing

Step 4: Create Your Account​

On the checkout screen:

  1. Enter your email and password to create an account
  2. Click Create Account & Start Free Trial

Step 5: Complete Payment Setup​

You'll be redirected to Stripe to enter your payment details. Your 90-day free trial starts immediately -- you won't be charged until the trial ends.

Step 6: Your Coach is Created​

After checkout, your coach is automatically created with all the details you provided. You'll be redirected to your Expert Dashboard (the Build tab in the sidebar) where you can:

  • Publish your coach to the marketplace
  • Edit the instructions and details
  • Add knowledge to make your coach smarter

Alternative: Sign Up First​

You can also become an Expert by:

  1. Creating a GuidanceAI account first
  2. Clicking the Build tab in the sidebar toggle
  3. Following the prompt to start your Expert subscription
  4. Using the AI-guided setup in your Expert Dashboard

Both methods result in the same Expert experience.

What Happens During the Trial​

During the 90-day free trial:

  • You have full access to the Expert Dashboard via the Build tab in the sidebar
  • You can create, configure, and publish your coach
  • Subscribers can find and use your coach
  • You receive any subscription revenue from subscribers
  • You will not be charged until the trial ends

Use the trial period to build a great coach, write thorough instructions, upload your knowledge base, and start attracting subscribers before your first payment.

Resuming an Incomplete Signup​

If you started the expert signup but didn't complete checkout:

  1. Sign in to your account
  2. Click the Build tab in the sidebar toggle
  3. You'll see a banner: "You're almost there! Complete your Expert subscription"
  4. Click Complete Signup to finish the process

Your coach configuration is saved in your browser, so you won't lose your progress.
