Sponsor Seats
Sponsor Seats let you pay GuidanceAI a monthly fee for a fixed number of seats, then invite people by email to use your coach for free. They're ideal for retainer-based experts who want to give specific clients access without putting their coach on the public marketplace.
How it works
- You buy a starting pack of 3 seats for £150/month from your Expert Dashboard.
- You invite people by email (one at a time, or paste a list).
- Each invitee gets a magic-link email. Once they sign up and accept, the coach appears in their library and they can chat for free.
- You're billed monthly. Add more seats individually at any time (volume discounts kick in from 4 seats onward).
- Remove access to anyone at any time -- the seat is freed for someone else without changing your bill.
Pricing
Graduated tiered, monthly recurring, GBP. Each seat is charged at the per-seat rate of the tier it falls into. Adding a 4th seat costs £135 for that seat — the first 3 stay at the early-adopter rate. The discount on your first 3 seats stays "baked in" however much you scale.
Per-seat rates:
| Seats | Per-seat |
|---|---|
| 1–3 (early adopter) | £50 |
| 4–6 | £135 |
| 7–12 | £127.50 |
| 13+ | £120 |
Example monthly totals:
| Seats | Total/month |
|---|---|
| 3 | £150 |
| 4 | £285 |
| 6 | £555 |
| 12 | £1,320 |
| 24 | £2,760 |
| 50 | £4,920 |
- Initial purchase defaults to 3 seats — adjust higher on the buy screen if you want.
- Adding seats is prorated immediately. The bigger your existing plan and the less time left in the cycle, the smaller today's prorated charge.
- Reducing the bill requires at least one unfilled seat. Remove someone first, then click "Reduce billed seats." No refund for the unused portion of the current month — your bill drops from next cycle.
- No hard upper cap. Over 200 seats, get in touch and we'll set up an annual plan.
Inviting people
Go to Build → Sponsor Seats. The overview, billing controls, and invitations all live on a single page now — no more separate Invitations tab.
- Single: enter one email address.
- Bulk: paste comma- or newline-separated emails into the box.
Invitations expire after 14 days. The invitee gets an email with a link that takes them through signup (if they don't already have an account) and then accepts the invite.
You don't need to have verified your own email to send, resend, or revoke an invitation — but you do need a verified email to buy seats or change the seat count, because those are payment actions.
Lifecycle emails
We send transactional emails (via Loops) at every meaningful step so neither side is left guessing:
- Invite and resend — to the invitee, with the accept link.
- Acceptance notification — to you, when someone accepts.
- Seat added / removed — to you, when your plan changes.
- Access revoked — to the invitee, whether you removed them manually or all access was cascaded after a cancelled subscription.
- Payment failed — to you, when a renewal card charge fails (with a link to update your payment method).
- Payment exhausted — to you, when Stripe's retry window runs out and the subscription cancels.
Removing access
In the Sponsor Seats page, click Remove on an invitation row.
- Removing access ends the invitee's chat immediately, and they get an email letting them know.
- The seat stays on your plan -- you can invite someone else at no extra cost.
- To reduce your monthly bill, use the Reduce billed seats button (only available when a seat is unfilled).
Billing failures
If your card fails on a renewal:
- Your sub enters a 21-day "retry" window. We keep showing it as
past_dueand try the card again on Stripe's schedule. - Invitees keep their access during this retry window. We don't punish them for a card glitch.
- A red banner appears in your dashboard with an "Update payment method" link to the Stripe customer portal.
- If we still can't charge after 21 days, the sub cancels, all invitations are revoked, and invitees lose access.
Cancelling
Click Manage billing in Build → Sponsor Seats → Overview to open the Stripe customer portal. Cancel from there. Invitees keep access until the end of the current paid period.
