Managing Conversations

GuidanceAI saves all your conversations so you can pick up where you left off at any time.

Conversation Sidebar​

On the left side of the chat screen, you will find the conversation sidebar. This lists all your conversations with the current coach, sorted by most recent.

Key Features​

  • Click any conversation to resume it instantly
  • New Chat button to start a fresh conversation
  • Delete a conversation by clicking the delete icon (you will be asked to confirm)
  • Conversations are auto-titled based on the content after the first few messages

On Mobile​

On smaller screens, the conversation sidebar is a slide-out drawer. Tap the menu icon to open it, and tap a conversation to load it.

Starting Fresh​

If you want to begin a new topic with a coach:

  1. Click New Chat in the conversation sidebar
  2. A fresh conversation is created with no prior context
  3. Your previous conversations remain accessible in the sidebar

Renaming Conversations​

Conversations are automatically titled based on the content of your first few messages. If you would like to choose your own title:

  1. Right-click on a conversation in the sidebar
  2. Select Rename conversation
  3. Type your new title and press Enter to save, or Escape to cancel

Once you rename a conversation, the automatic titling will no longer overwrite your chosen name.

Deleting Conversations​

To remove a conversation:

  1. Right-click on the conversation in the sidebar
  2. Select Delete conversation
  3. Confirm the deletion

Deleted conversations cannot be recovered. Make sure you no longer need the conversation before deleting it.
