How Agent Memory Works
One of GuidanceAI's most powerful features is long-term memory. Agents remember things you have told them, even across different conversations and sessions.
How It Works
GuidanceAI uses a memory system called Mem0 to give agents persistent memory:
- Before each response, the agent retrieves relevant memories from past conversations
- After each conversation, key information is saved for future reference
- This happens automatically -- you do not need to do anything
What This Means for You
- No repeating yourself -- tell an agent your preferences once, and it remembers for next time
- Continuity across sessions -- close your browser, come back tomorrow, and the agent still knows your context
- Improving over time -- the more you interact, the more personalised the experience becomes
Cross-Agent Memory
Memory works across agents on GuidanceAI. If you tell Agent A about your business goals, Agent B may also be aware of this context. This creates a connected experience across the platform.
Privacy
- Your memories are private to your account -- no other user can access them
- Memory is linked to your user ID and stored securely
- If you delete your account, all memories are permanently deleted as part of the GDPR-compliant deletion process
note
Memory enhances your experience but is not required. Agents work well even without prior memory -- it simply makes conversations more natural and personalised over time.
