Conversation Features

GuidanceAI chat includes several features to make your conversations more productive.

Streaming Responses

Coach responses appear in real-time as they are generated. You will see text being typed out word by word, giving you a natural conversational feel.

Retry

If a message fails to send (due to a network issue, for example), you can retry sending it. Look for the retry option on the failed message.

Regenerate

Want a different response? You can ask the coach to regenerate its last reply. This sends the same context back to the coach for a fresh answer.

Code Blocks

Coach responses can include formatted code snippets when relevant. These are displayed in a monospaced font with syntax highlighting, making technical content easy to read.

Auto-Titles

After the first few messages in a conversation, GuidanceAI automatically generates a descriptive title for the conversation. This makes it easy to identify conversations in the sidebar.

You do not need to name conversations manually -- it is all handled for you.

Error Handling

If something goes wrong during a conversation:

  • An error message is displayed clearly in the chat
  • You will typically have the option to retry the failed operation
  • If the issue persists, try refreshing the page

If a coach's response is not quite what you expected, try rephrasing your question with more specific details. You can also use regenerate to get an alternative response.
